Who is looking forward to watching the Winter Olympics?
Over the course of the next two weeks we will be participating in our very own GreenStones Winter Olympic Games! Just like our summer GreenStones Olympics, we will have different sporting events to help us get in the sporting spirit. Please continue reading to find out what cool winter events the team will be taking part in.
A Winter Olympics Wordsearch Puzzle
- For this, team members will need to answer Winter Olympic themed questions and then find all the answers in a wordsearch as fast as they can. This is a great game because all team members can take part as we will be sharing the documents on Microsoft Teams for everyone (in the office and working from home) to access. Ice Cool Runnings
- This event will test team members speed and balance. Each team member will be given an ice cube and a spoon (just like an egg and spoon race). The fastest team member to run the length of the GreenStones car park and back again, without dropping the ice cube will win.
Speedy Anagrams
- Another easily shareable game for the team! The spelling of Winter Olympic sports will be muddled up and team members will have to decode the sporting events as fast as they can. You can download a copy of the document below, if you want to give it a go!
Pool Table Curling
- A game of precision and accuracy. Each team member will be given three pool balls. Two teams will take it in turn to slide their plain/striped balls along a pool table to the house (circular target). The team with the most points will win.
Mitten Mayhem
- Team members will be asked to bring in their mittens, or gloves (elastic bands or hair bobbles will be put over gloves, to give members the same conditions). The aim of the game will be to unlock a tin, write their name on a piece of paper and relock the tin all while wearing mittens. The member who does it the fastest wins.
On Friday 18 February we will celebrate the end of the Winter Olympics by hosting our very own closing ceremony! Team members will be given trophy’s and certificates, depending on how they placed in the games.
