We would like to highlight the importance of communication, wellbeing and positive moral during this unusual and unnerving time.
Team members at GreenStones have been lucky enough to be able to work remotely for some time, which has made the transition of working at home seem smooth and somewhat effortless. However, during this pandemic, we have implemented some key systems and ideas for staying connected, which we would like to share with you.
Messaging Applications
Since the lockdown started, GreenStones have set up two WhatsApp groups for team members to keep in contact with each other. One chat is for company updates and important information, while the other chat has been created to help boost team morale; this is where we send gifs, memes, videos and jokes to help spread positivity.
It is said that laughter and positivity can help improve tension, stress levels, your immune system and your mood!
Video chats
At GreenStones we use an application called Zoom to video chat with each other every lunch time. This allows us to communicate, play games and enjoy each other’s company, while keeping a physical distance. There are many other platforms where you can video chat with friends, colleagues and loved ones, for example, Skype, Facetime (on Apple Products), WhatsApp and Teamviewer.
Social Media & Music
Social media platforms are one of the most popular forms of virtual communication, especially during times like this!
At GreenStones we have recently started a daily song question, which we will be sharing with you on our social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter). Music has been a great point of conversation and we would love to hear your views!
Music is associated with many health benefits, for example, it improves your overall well-being, memory and reduces anxiety and stress!
Stay connected and stay safe – from the GreenStones team!
