From 01 April 2021 the National Living Wage (NLW) and National Minimum Wage (NMW) will increase.
National Living Wage
All employees who are aged 23 or over, and not in the first year of an apprenticeship, will be legally entitled to the NLW of £8.91 per hour.
NOTE: This age range has been extended from previous years.
National Minimum Wage
The NMW will increase as follows:
• The 21-22 year old rate will increase to £8.36 per hour
• The 18-20 year old rate will increase to £6.56 per hour
• The 16-17 year old rate will increase to £4.62 per hour
• The rate for apprentices will increase to £4.30 per hour
NOTE: Apprentices are entitled to the apprentice rate if they are aged under 19 or are aged 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship.
