From 01 April 2022 Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT becomes mandatory for all VAT registered businesses.
Since April 2019, businesses with a taxable turnover of more than £85,000 have been required to keep digital records and file VAT returns using MTD compatible software.
However, from 01 April 2022, regardless of turnover, all VAT registered businesses must keep digital records and file VAT returns using MTD compatible software.
