Don’t forget that there are new minimum wage rates in force tomorrow. They are increased to:-
£5.93 per hour for workers aged 21 or over;
£4.92 per hour for workers aged 18 – 21;
£3.64 per hour for workers aged 16-17; and
a new apprentice minimum wage of £2.50 per hour. This applies to all apprentices who are under 19 or those who are 19 or over but in the first year of their apprenticeship. All others are entitled to standard NMW.
