Support for young people

support-for-young-peopleFrom this summer, young people will be required to continue in education until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17, increasing to 18 from summer 2015. However, this does not have to be school or college based education. Employers who provide on the job training in the form of an apprenticeship can help their young employees comply with the change in law and possibly get funding for the training as well.

If you are a business that is thinking of employing 16 and 17 year olds, or already does so, we suggest you visit www.education.gov.uk/rpa or your local college for more information.
